It’s National Health Center Week at Gulf Coast Health Care! We can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to honor our staff who work tirelessly to ensure our residents and their families live in good health and dignity every day. This year’s theme is “Community Health Centers: Lighting the Way for Healthier Communities, Today and in the Future,” which is so timely given the unexpected challenges of the novel coronavirus.
We are continually humbled by our staff’s collective sense of dedication and resolve during these unprecedented times. They have flexed their creative muscles time and again to find fresh and innovative ways to care for the social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of our residents. Our staff is devoted to providing residents with the very best care, and they’ve proven our new circumstances aren’t slowing them down.
Spotlight on our staff
This week, we’re spotlighting our chefs, because they are the life-giving arms of love among our centers:
In addition to preparing a regular menu of healthy meals, beverages and snacks for our residents, our chefs take great care to ensure each resident’s dietary restrictions are carefully considered. Throughout these trying times, they’ve also been called upon to create unique desserts and other snacks to support physically distanced enrichment activities. To say they have gone above and beyond for our residents during this time is an understatement.
If you are looking for a safe place your loved one can call home, visit GCHC.com to find a center near you. Our staff has risen to meet this moment and is taking these learnings into the future to ensure Gulf Coast Health Care offers leading-edge care and compassion to all our residents.
